Minara woke as a small beam of sunlight hit her eyes. She yawned and walked out from under a bush. She watched the sunlight make the snow and ice shimmer and sparkle. She stretched leisurely and walked away from her home. The view was absolutely breathtaking. Sadly, she didnt know if she could stay. She was trying desperately to find a permanent home, and she had checked most of the other lands.
She closed her eyes and lifted her face to the sun, reveling in the small, rare warmth. She sighed as she gazed upon the vast land of white. She was almost pure black, she really didnt belong here.
Her eyes spotted a snow hare dart across the snow. She ran after it. She finally got it when it rounded a bush, and she jumped over it, catching it's hind legs. She walked back to an old tree, where she sat and ate her meal.
Satisfied, she stretched again and lay between two trees, were the snow was almost non existent, and a beam of sunlight warmed her fur. She took a deep breath, the smell of morning filling her senses. She watched as the plain came alive with creatures, as the sun rose to meet the occasion.
She felt strangely lonely...
